Making your day with more art...this time from the talented Leah Tacha. This Brooklyn artist sure knows how to work a collage. The colors are right up my alley, and her use of shape and line is amazing. Can't stop staring, can ya?!

The absolute perfect way to end the week! An installation that will make you polka dot happy (that's happier than the plain ol' happy kind of happy). You'll probably want to go buy some stickers, too. In "a surprisingly simple yet ridiculously amazing installation" for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, artist Yayoi Kusama set up a large domestic area with every wall, table, chair, and household accessory painted bright white. Pretty inviting. Over the course of two weeks, little visitors to the museum were given thousands of dot stickers and set free within the blank space to help transform it into the dreamy explosion of color you see above. I can't stop looking through the photos! The installation, entitled The Obliteration Room, is part of Kusama’s Look Now, See Forever exhibition that runs through March 12th. I love it when a simple idea makes such a huge impact. Have a great weekend!

My main squeeze surprised me with a Valentine's treat...a trip to The Speed Art Museum! He sure knows the way to my Renoir lovin' heart. Our visit was amazing, topped with chocolate covered strawberries and chardonnay. PS...wine and Impressionism were meant for each other. The Allure of Color exhibit is BEYOND, running from now until May. I was certainly feeling the love as I saw some of my favorite pieces and was introduced to a few new artists as well...can't wait to share. Wishing you lots of love today, friends!

Emma Coulter. How's this for crazy talent?! LOVE the patterns and colors, love the lights and darks, love that something new can be found in these pieces every time you look at them. Kinda reminds me of a party with lots of confetti and balloons. Happy art's the best.

I visit A Beautiful Mess on a regular basis...hope you do, too...and SO admire her style and simple way of making modern design fun and accessible. The photos above show off some of Elsie's DIY projects. An instagram wall?!? Let's do it.
