SMOCK is based in Syracuse, New York, and their print shop...along with its 20 antique presses, 50 tons of equipment, and 17 employees...resides west of downtown in the Delavan Center. Nowadays, the Delavan houses many of the city’s painters, photographers, sculptors, and ceramists, as well as Syracuse's largest art gallery. SMOCK is the first and only print shop...letterpress that is...to offer printing on a luxe bamboo paper. They developed this paper with the help of a historic European paper mill, wanting to use fab paper that's not only gorgeous, but sustainable, too. Smart AND pretty?! It's possible, people.
