Wrapping up the week with one of my FAVE artists...Michelle Armas...for two reasons. First, her work is beyond, and I find myself staring at her drips and smudges of paint over, and over, and over (repeat 20 times) and over again. Second, she's THE perfect artists to chat about with Easter right around the corner. All of the pinks, mints, creams, blues and yellows scream spring and all things Eastery. Wishing you a happy Easter! xo

There are lots of artists out there that incorporate typography into their art, but Miss Meg Hitchock has taken it to a WHOLE new level. She takes letters out of religious text and assorted books, and then rearranges them to create crazy beautiful art. Talk about tedious. I came across Meg's work through a new site I was introduced to last weekend...obsessed. Check out Colossal for more info and more art!

Excuse me while I WHOOP HOLLER AND SCREAM for a moment. My college team, the unbelievable, undeniable UK Wildcats, won the NCAA Championship game last night! Big Blue Nation went crazy as this humble, kind, selfless group of talented boys fought and won the title. We knew they could do it. So proud to be a WILDCAT!!!

Oh my. This past weekend was full of sunshine and inspiration! My eyes did a little pinterest shopping and racked up some serious finds. Artists for miles, from florals...my current fave...to abstracts. Can't wait to share! This week will be full of color, pattern, and insanely awesome art. Let's start with Leanne Shapton, shall we?! Her Tuesday Blooms are amazing. Check out more here, and have a great Monday!

Sharing a little SPROUT Studio project today! I posted some great pics of the work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude with you recently, and I'd say the inspiration from their life's work went a long way with my little artists. Since covering a local bridge or the public library wasn't an option for us, I decided to trade scale for personality. We wrapped and strung our way to textile perfection...this sweet collection of initials, all covered in bright, fun materials, turned out to be one of the happiest projects yet.

Being present hasn't been the easiest thing for me lately. Truth is, I stink at it sometimes. Thinking about what needs to be done, what hasn't been finished, what's to come, and what's behind me has been my unfortunate focus for the past few weeks. I'm trying my best to appreciate the moments at hand, especially when they involve my sweet boys. Life is overwhelming at times, but those two sure know how to keep me grounded. After all, there's nothing much that watching an underwear dance party can't cure.

Loving Mia Christopher! Her work is full of fun and surprises, and her use of simple lines and bright colors makes my day. A most appropriate way to say Happy Spring, don't ya think?!
