Sharing a little SPROUT Studio project today! I posted some great pics of the work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude with you recently, and I'd say the inspiration from their life's work went a long way with my little artists. Since covering a local bridge or the public library wasn't an option for us, I decided to trade scale for personality. We wrapped and strung our way to textile perfection...this sweet collection of initials, all covered in bright, fun materials, turned out to be one of the happiest projects yet.

Being present hasn't been the easiest thing for me lately. Truth is, I stink at it sometimes. Thinking about what needs to be done, what hasn't been finished, what's to come, and what's behind me has been my unfortunate focus for the past few weeks. I'm trying my best to appreciate the moments at hand, especially when they involve my sweet boys. Life is overwhelming at times, but those two sure know how to keep me grounded. After all, there's nothing much that watching an underwear dance party can't cure.

Can't believe I just went an entire week without posting, friends! Many apologies! After having the BEST time at my art show last weekend...so fun...I'm back to work, crafting and painting for another fab event. Inspiration for SPROUT! My little artists are learning all about the work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, and wrapping up something of their own, too. This project is taking me back to my college days (I wrapped a bathroom stall for a sculpture studio class...A+, thank you very much). The installations of Christo and Jean-Claude can take years to complete, but our piece will be finished up next week. Can't wait to share!
